Dr. Robert Carter III, Ph.D., M.P.H., is an Associate Professor in the Public Health Program, School of Health Sciences, American Public University System. Dr. Carter was awarded the Ph.D. in biomedical sciences (concentration in cardiovascular physiology) in 2001, and his M.P.H. in epidemiology & biostatistics in 2003, both from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles on a range of topics such as public health outcomes, cardiovascular disease, heat stroke, human performance and integrative physiology. He serves as the faculty advisor for APUS's Public Health Club.
